TOWANDA — A Sayre man was sentenced Tuesday to more than 100 years in state prison after being found guilty on more than 50 charges related to the sexual assault of a young girl over a three-year period.

Timothy Gainous, 43, of Sayre, was sentenced to a minimum of 101 years to a maximum of 207 years in state prison by Judge Evan Williams III following his convictions on 51 sexual assault-related counts, most of which were felonies, including 10 counts each of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, statutory sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault of a child.
