Going to be interesting if these are an everyday occurrence! We heard a huge boom this evening from down your way but it was preceded by a smaller gunshot …errr bang , so I don’t believe it was a meteor lol .

It seems like, with the objects breaking apart in the upper atmosphere, it would only make sense for the ones reaching sonic boom or visibility to arrive in small clusters like the Atlantic coast, etc. Between the oceans and the arctic, I feel like there's much smaller areas of airspace over populated areas than unpopulated. That makes one wonder if they occur a lot more frequently than observed.
