What is it all of the sudden with these younger people, probably barely old enough to drink, making videos pontificating about what's going on with local offices like the mayor of county executive? Is it something they're doing to make money from monetization, they looking to be a local political pundit when The Hurricane is no longer with us.... what?

I mean, they're free to do whatever but I have a hard time taking them seriously.

I have no context to understand who/what you're referring to

Yikes.

I have a pretty strict policy to scroll past any reels or tiktoks I see shared.....thanks for reinforcing that for me. 🤣

This little Bernie Bro is a perfect example why. Even though there is some truth, some of his statements are incorrect/false.

The kid's credibility was lost for me when he so confidently "informed" viewers that Margeson is currently the legislator for the third district. 🙄

I generally do too, but every once in a while one sneaks by. Anymore I do a quick scroll through what remains of my feed ( it's all stuff I couldn't care less about ) and go right to my toy groups or Marketplace, then bounce.

But back to my original gripe, this kid is one of two who I think are taking themselves, and their own opinions, WAY too seriously.

Considering that he publicly shows off that Greta Thunberg haircut....it doesn't surprise me me that he'd have a inflated ego.

Sadly...while he doesn't look old enough to drink, he's likely old enough to vote.

I don't think anyone is taking them seriously. I know one I was watching he's 21 but he had 1/2 of his facts incorrect and barely knew what he was talking about. He was hating on the guy I don't like and I still thought he sounded like an idiot.

The haircut is what first caught my eye. lol. I've seen some of his comments before. Probably lives in his gramma's basement.

At the risk of sounding like an old man, for me it comes down to that meme that says if the year of your birth starts with a two, you've no business giving out advice yet.

I advise this is incorrect 😂

I would agree that individuals like you are the exception, more rare than hen’s teeth 😉

When construction zones post speed limits for the area of highway being worked, that is the speed limit. If the sign says 45 or 55 that’s the speed not 65. There’s no other notation on that speed sign that says “except for Saturday and Sunday”. Everyone driving behind me on 86 from Sayre to Elmira today learned that from me this afternoon.

I’m the same way, but my license is how I earn a living so I set the cruise control at 55 and don’t concern myself with those behind me.

Same here a few mph is not worth the fine or the points.

One thing I am getting tired of seeing are the AI generated food menus the restaurants are using these days. I do not want to see AI slop I want to see your actual slop.

Lol I stick to the posted speed regardless of construction or not, definitely have made a lot of people mad behind me/can feel them looking as they pass me, but too bad!

And they ALL look exactly the same. Nothing to distinguish anything from other AI adverts for the same type of item.

I saw someone say that if a business uses AI slop to make their advertisements, they won't do business there. You know, I kinda have to agree with that and already find myself not even looking at obviously AI-generated flyers for events, ads, etc.

I absolutely loathe the change Barnes & Noble has made to the online site. It is a royal pain in the ass trying to order ebooks using gift cards that are already saved to my account. I understand the security change of them sending you a code to use to login instead of a password but once in your saved info should be there. I had to re-enter my already saved gift card info. Hopefully it was just a glitch in the system today.

Between my writing and this site, so much of what I do relies on that absolute dumpster fire known as Facebook to get any attention from the public. And now I can't post anything, not even a happy birthday message to my father in law, on my desktop for some reason. I have to go to my phone and use the app to do anything.

I know they're tinkering with the algorithm and all of that lately, so I'm not surprised. It's so goddamned frustrating that Facebook has become then be all and end all of communication!

I'm so over it, ready to get rid of it, yet I also know that'd pretty much be the end of gaining any attention to anything I am trying to create. And what the hell is the use of writing if no one knows it exists to read it?!?!

FB does get quirky. I would suggest clearing out all your "cookies" on your computer and rebooting. I know you are tech savvy but weirdly it works for me quite often. It's the help desk's favorite first comment when we have to call. "Did you clear your cookies and reboot?" lol

I like to consider myself relatively tech savvy....but I find clearing cookies and rebooting to be a major PITA. After restarting, I hate having to use multi-factor authentication to access every G-Dm site tat was just cleared out. My mail. My Amazon. My bank....ugh!!

I don't disagree. Work is not as labor intensive but when I have to do it on my laptop at home it's annoying to have to look up every saved password to get back into everything.

Trying to purchase an ebook from Barnes &Noble is still a PITA. No password, a 6 digit code via email, you add books to your cart then have to enter another 6 digit code to buy. Gift cards are no longer automatically applied and the gift card option doesn’t always appear when checking out. I’m beginning to wonder if they’re making on-line purchasing this difficult to get customers into their Stores.
