Ok I’ll start.

Whats with these social media “influencers” doing their stupid videos holding lapel/ clip in mics like a regular microphone?

IMG_0163.jpeg

Double the stupid…

It’s meant to clip to your shirt somewhere inconspicuous and leave your hands free. For Gods sake, if you’re going to do this, JUST HOLD A REGULAR F—KING MICROPHONE!!!!

You’ll still be stupid, but won’t look quite as stupid. Well, maybe.

I've seen them holding what looks like a makeup brush as a microphone.

Oh yeah I’ve seen them on everything from eating utensils to a Metro card. It’s all completely idiotic.

Do cooking videos count as social influencers?

Whose brilliant idea was it to put the shipping and receiving dock for Kennedy Valve on one of the two main thoroughfares into the City of Elmira?

If you've never seen it, tractor trailers have to back in to the docks off of Water Street. This means that traffic can't get through until they're backed in. A good driver can do it in one try and you're only waiting a minute or so. Not a big deal, really. But they're not always a good, or should we say experienced, driver.

For the record, I know I'd have a hard time with it, I'll admit that right up front. But some days it's like watching a sketch from Family Guy as they back in a little, pull forward, back in a little more, pull forward, realize they can't make that cut, pull all the way out again, rinse and repeat. Meanwhile traffic keeps backing up unless some people see they can route around the mess by going through the park and ride. That works okay, but one of these days it's gonna cause a crash in that lot if people try it from both directions.

It's just stupid.

Its always been that way but when Church and Water were one way the traffic wasn't so bad

Just got done reading the 5th post about Bill Cook and his escapades in a customer's Kia. In case you did not see any. Bill Cook (local used car lot) honored a gift certificate for a free detail even though he does not offer it anymore. Customer drops vehicle off to lot and gets a notification later that the car has moved locations and was at Texas Roadhouse. The owner of the vehicle called the cops and then had him arrested. Just the amount of people that are defending him is crazy if you did not detail at that location, you should have had her drop it off at the detailing location If you had to move it to a different location you should have told the customer and did it during business hours. It does not matter if he owns a million cars, he did not own that one and did not have permission to drive it off the property cut and dry.

I saw it and completely agree. At the very least let her know it was being moved. They wouldn't sing that song if it had been their car, especially had he been in an accident with it.

Exactly and if it was in an accident now it's going to have that on the car fax. I did see someone post that the detail shop was not that far from the drop off location and not in the direction of Texas Roadhouse. Someone else pointed out if he did not do anything wrong, he would not have been arrested.

I just read the news report and haven't seen any posts about it. This is the first I'm hearing of an excuse that he needed to take it to some other location for the detailing.

I still can't imagine how anyone could defend him. Even if it was "on his way" between his dealership and some official detailing location, the vehicle was not being detailed at Texas Roadhouse. He had it parked at a bar/restaurant where he was inside...that's personal use. Period.

It's illegal to use a customer's vehicle for personal use....and extra illegal if he ordered and adult beverage.

It started out as an individual’s social media post on a local group. I generally don’t use those on here.

Other media outlets aren’t so discerning.

Does anyone else's garbage company charge you a 10% fuel surcharge?

Not that I'm aware of. But with all of this "winning" we're doing these days, it wouldn't surprise me.

Not so far but I only pay twice a year and the next one should be due at the end of July. My garbage bill hasn't changed in 28 years.

I am not a political person at all, but the orange buffoon needs to go. He is an embarrassment to this Country and does not give 2 shits about the people.

Unfortunately, Fosters whom we had before sold out, and Green Leaf is almost double what we used to pay.
