Sayre Junior High School Coach Charged With Rape In Broom County

A man who coached track and field in the Sayre Area School District has been charged with rape in Broome County.

According to court documents, Brandon Devonshire was charged by Endicott Police with the rape of a minor. The crime was allegedly committed on June 26, 2025. No further information about the incident has been released.

The Sayre Area School District said Devonshire was immediately removed from his position as junior high track coach after his arrest.

According to the district, the alleged actions did not involve any Sayre students and did not occur on Sayre Area School District property.
