Former Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming is facing following a fatal ATV accident that killed his girlfriend in May. Court documents indicate Fleming is charged with nine offenses, including homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle, and aggravated assault by vehicle while under the influence. Authorities say Fleming had a blood-alcohol content of 0.118 shortly after the crash.

The accident occurred on a rural road in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, when a deer ran into Fleming’s path, causing a collision that threw both Fleming and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Alyssa Boyd, from the ATV. Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene, while Fleming suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. Neither was wearing safety equipment at the time of the crash.

Fleming, 24, who started his college career at Ohio State before transferring to Penn State, appeared in 16 games for the Nittany Lions in 2024, recording 14 catches for 176 yards and one touchdown. His attorney has disputed the homicide charges, describing the accident as tragic but not criminal.

Fleming is scheduled to appear in court later Wednesday to face the charges.
