Orange shag 🤔😁. Ours came out of Dads game room / bar /cellar … minus the carpet . Moved it here after he passed and used at quite a few house parties . Built in 8 track and light show front panel … the ultimate party machine lol 😆. My Mother in law actually got me four barstools to go with it . Ahh … good times 😀

It sounds vaguely familiar, but I don’t reflexively associate the image/video with it. 

My earliest introduction to PBS programming was occasionally watching The Electric Company when I was maybe around first or second grade.  Either PBS wasn’t available...or maybe it wasn’t a channel my parents had me tuned into when I was preschool aged?  So I guess I’d outgrown Sesame Street content by the time PBS was in my life....because I knew my ABCs and how to count by then?

My own kids watched it when they were toddlers.... I suppose that’s when I overheard this song a few times.  

When I was little I spent a lot of time at my maternal grandparents house. Unlike our house, they got WSKG on the antenna very clearly. So since 24 hours cartoon channels weren’t a thing, WSKG’s kids’ programming was a big part of my life. I think I continued to watch Sesame Street simply for the storyline that took place with the street’s residents.

Electric Company, 321 Contact, etc., I loved them all.

I would buy all the Star Wars toys my boys had but not let them have these. I’d save them, unopened, then regift to them as adults today 😂

I had one of these when our boys were younger. I want to say I bought it from Avon but I guess it doesn’t matter now as I don’t know what happened to it lol. My eldest son and DIL gifted me a Christmas calendar that was a house that played Christmas songs when you moved the date, opened the door and got that day’s ornament to hang on the house. It was actually a gift from their eldest son when he was 1 1/2 years old. All the grandchildren loved being able to hang the ornaments and hear the music. Unfortunately, they’re grown now so it’s been 2 years since I set the house out. Memories to cherish.

I think you might be right about AVON. I think we had that one too
