November 12Nov 12 SAYRE, Pa. – Local cancer patients facing expenses like heating bills, transportation and daily necessities will receive crucial support following a generous $51,603 donation to the Guthrie Breast Care Fund. The funds were presented Nov. 10 by Williams Auto Group and Dandy Mini Marts, culminating their successful October "Drive Pink" and "Pink Cups" campaigns. Williams contributed $29,445 and Dandy added $22,148, helping patients focus on their healthcare journeys without financial worry. This significant donation is the result of collective action across the Twin Tiers region, guaranteeing that patients battling breast cancer receive direct support for essential nonmedical expenses. This includes utility bills, heating costs, transportation and daily necessities. "For more than a decade, Williams and Dandy have successfully channeled community spirit into meaningful, real support for local cancer patients throughout our region," said Dr. Edmund Sabanegh, President and CEO of The Guthrie Clinic. "This remarkable generosity eases significant financial burdens during the time when patients need it most, allowing them to focus on their health and recovery." “We’re really excited to be here on behalf of Williams Companies together to donate around $51,000 to the Guthrie Breast Care Fund,” said Dalton Williams, Vice President of Williams Auto Group. “It’s an initiative that all parties in our company work together really hard on to give back to something so important, right here in our backyard.”
