The Bills are also hoping to get linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral) and right tackle Spencer Brown (calf) back for the Patriots game. Both players were limited in practice on Wednesday. Milano has missed the last two games and hasn’t practiced since injuring his pectoral muscle late in the New York Jets game in Week 2.

Backup linebacker Dorian Williams, who played for Milano the past two weeks, sustained a knee injury late in last week’s game against the New Orleans Saints. He didn’t practice on Wednesday. Veteran linebacker Shaq Thompson went into the game for Williams against the Saints.

Milano and Ed Oliver back on the field would be a great start to getting the defense up to snuff.

The Bills made some roster moves ahead of Sunday night's game against the Patriots.

Buffalo has signed linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. In addition, the Bills have placed cornerback Dorian Strong on Injured Reserve.

Ciarlo originally joined the Bills in early August. The LB spent last season with the Jets but did not see any action due to being on the Injured Reserve.

multi-million dollar team(if not more) and this guy has to return the ball?!

Yeah that had me a little confused when we were at the pre-season game against the Giants. The ball went into the stands and security was on the move immediately.

For the cost of those seats you’d think they’d let it go. Maybe they don’t to keep the peace in the stands, I don’t know.

I’ve seen the reason online being that they have a set number of balls that are inflated in specific ways depending on the need (standard QB ball vs a kicker’s ball), and what stadiums do varies. Some give you a memorabilia ball, some don’t. However, if a player gives someone on the stands a ball deliberately, they get to keep that.

This team is not going to the Super Bowl this year the way things are right now.

They need to start making some changes. The team has a once in a generation talent for a QB and they are wasting his peak years.

Orchard Park, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills 2025 first-round draft pick Maxwell Hairston took another step toward his season debut on Monday as the team designated him to return from injured reserve, opening his 21-day practice window.

Hairston sustained a right lateral collateral knee sprain while going through an individual drill on the sixth day of Bills training camp in July.

Orchard Park , N.Y. — Josh Allen began his bye week stewing over consecutive losses. Then the Buffalo Bills quarterback received a valuable piece of advice from a beloved source.

“My grandma called me and was like, ‘I just want to see you smile,’” Allen said on Wednesday, when the Bills returned to practice following their weekend break.

It’s a tip he’s taken to heart as Buffalo (4-2) prepares to play at Carolina (4-3) on Sunday.

First, even though Marion Von Allman watches every game, Allen called it rare for his maternal grandmother to offer advice.

“So, obviously, when she says something, I’m going to be listening,” Allen said.

Read the rest, including how Coach McD spent the bye week, here.

Christ, he just came back from the last injury. We can't catch a break with these guys. We are gonna have 5 starters out for the KC game next week.

The Buffalo Bills appear to be looking to make a big splash at the NFL trade deadline.

With the NFL trade deadline nearing, Buffalo was linked to two of the biggest-name wide receivers potentially available. In her latest article for The Athletic, Dianna Russini reported that the Bills have called the New Orleans Saints on Chris Olave and the Las Vegas Raiders on Jakobi Meyers. Russini noted that she expects the Saints to keep Olave and that the Raiders’ asking price for Meyers is high.

Buffalo has until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, to make any potential deals at wide receiver or elsewhere.

Team still gonna give me a heart attack

No kidding. “3 seconds” almost became the new “13 seconds.”

I don’t know what the hell Coach McD was thinking of calling a time out on that 4th and 17. He essentially gave the Chiefs a second chance at getting first down or a touchdown even. If they lost it would have been on him I think.

On the upside, whatever someone said to the team this past week, it worked. Even the defense looked pretty damned good, when they weren’t having trouble getting set. ( Crowd noise a factor? ) Watching Mahomes get sacked and Kelce get absolutely blasted by Cole Bishop was the best.

Based on how they’ve been playing, I had pretty low hopes for them to beat KC but they played much better and did it.

i say this knowing im never on par with such athletes, but had Bosa pursued, hed have made a meal of Mahomes before he even knew what hit him, Mahomes' back was turned for plenty of time, not sure why Bosa broke off

Orchard Park, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane admitted on Wednesday that it was hard not to feel like the past few weeks had been a waste of time after his staff chased numerous roads to trades that all led to a dead end the day before.

The Bills made calls for weeks in search of adding talent to a championship-caliber roster that’s been decimated by injuries, mainly on the defensive side of the ball. For several reasons that Beane outlined in a pre-practice press conference, none of the deals came to fruition.

“Believe me, I went home as mad as any other fan,” Beane said. “I wanted to do things. I’m always wanting to do things to make this team better.”
