Be bored! Embrace time without distractions!

I am awake in the morning before Hubby, usually around 5 am, sometimes 2-3 hours before he gets up. I can sit in my chair in the dark, no lights, music, tv, devices, just the quiet and I find it calming. He doesn’t understand how I do that. I think growing up with 5 sisters sharing one bedroom gave me a deep appreciation for solitude lol. I have a phone but 98% of the time it’s off and in the kitchen drawer. I have my IPad but average 2 hours a day total online time in a 24 hour period. I wonder if an e-reader counts with what he said?

I really can’t remember a time when I was truly bored ! Yes , I check in on the Ipad and messenger to communicate with family and what few friends I have and usually check You tube for giggles . My laptop upstairs is reserved for learning new music and thats all . I can sit and just relax but not for long , especially in the quiet , tinnitus drives me to go do something, anything, as it calms down a bit while distracted . But boredom in the traditional sense has never been a problem for me even as a child and all these year to the present , as its always been drilled into my head “ Got time to Lean , Got time to Clean “ !
