"I've Actually Never Been There"

Reading the story about the plight of the Museum of the Earth in Ithaca made me realize that I've never been there. And there's a lot of other places throughout the region, or even closer to home, that I still haven't been to.

What's a popular local place that you've never been to before? Is there a good reason for it or you just haven't gotten around to it?

I've never been to Manzari's.

Say that around many locals and they'll look at you like you have three heads. Or you just slapped a puppy.

But I've never been there. No real reason, just haven't.

Honestly if I want spaghetti, I'll make it at home. I make a pretty mean sauce.

I have never been to Texas Roadhouse. I’ve heard lots of great things about the place but, to be honest, I prefer a good burger over a steak. Also, I won’t wait in line to egret into a restaurant and I’ve heard it’s also very loud. It’s not on my “must go to” list.

I’ve never been to Anne’s Pancakes in Elmira.

We stopped there once but the parking meter wasn’t working ( shocker ) and I, freshly stoned after my first colonoscopy, wasn’t in the mood for it. So we went elsewhere.

But I know a lot of people like it.

This one came up unexpectedly this week, but, Shedden’s.

As many times as I’ve driven past, I’ve never stopped at Shedden’s.

Put it on your to do list, if you’re a looky Lou you’ll enjoy your time there.
