Two Elmira Men Arrested For Robbery In Big Flats

On June 21, 2018, at approximately 5:30 P.M., the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office investigated a disturbance at 363 County Route 64 in the Town of Big Flats.

The investigationby Sheriff’s Deputies determined that two subjects were victims of a robbery that took place 
outside of the residence. 

The suspects have been identified as 18-year old Lonnie A. Brown of Elmira and a 16-year old male of Elmira.

Police say a third suspect fled from the scene prior to Deputies arrival.
Both were charged with one count each of Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony and were arraigned in the Town of Big Flats Court.

Brown was remanded to the Chemung County Jail with bail set at $5,000.00 
cash/$10,000.00 property bond. The 16 year old was remanded to the Chemung County Jail with bail set at $1,000.00 cash/$2,000.00 property bond. Both  are scheduled to return to court at a later date to answer the charge.

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation and charges against the third suspect are expected.
