Thank you!!

With dozens of candidates, your taking the time sorting them out is appreciated!

Do you know which have provided website links and/or email info for voters to interact and learn about their platforms?

In the other posts there's links to their site if available but I can compile something.

This thread is still incomplete, just a way for me to keep track of who is doing what.

Does  anyone know who actually made it to the ballot stage after the petitions were reviewed? Heard some candidates were removed due to invalid signatures. Have not heard anything credible though that would confirm this.

Nothing on the BOE site that I can find.

Somehow I can't ever look at that initialism without my brain trying to say "Benevolent Order of Elks"

Never mind, he's on the ballot. I also realized there was a Republican challenger in the 2nd District.

Updated again.

Did I miss something with Scott Drake? I thought he was running as a Republican against Madl. Did he go with the Conservative line?

Chris,

Just found out that Drake is on two other ballot lines, the indepedance party and the Reform party besides being on the Republican and Conservative lines. By the looks of Maple Ave and nearby side streets, Drake and Moss already won the sign war!!!

Looking at the BOE listing of candidates ( the only way I can keep track at this point ) I see a lot of candidates on three or four party lines.

I get the idea behind it, but seems to me it makes primaries a waste of time.

After several requests, I stated getting a questionnaire out to all candidates in contested races, county only. I'm hoping to have them featured the week of the 29th.

I have no idea. As far as I can tell they have the option of staying on the ballot on the smaller parties. I had to go looking to see what a couple of them planned on doing. If they indicated they were bowing out, I left them off my list. If I couldn't tell, I sent them a questionnaire anyway.

Party affiliations have been updated in the initial post.

Here's what my worksheets look like. So far:

So , I Stopped by HQ to get a few yard signs this morning , talked to Rodney for a minute . One other young man already there followed me out giving me his rather colorful opinion of a couple candidates he obviously doesn’t care for . Race and sexual orientation were his biggest hang ups it seems . I stopped him mid rant explaining that he had every right to his opinion no matter how much I might disagree with his criteria for our Leaders thinking he might get the idea  . Then while giving him my views and opinions on his rant he kept wanting to cut me off with his clearly bigoted ideals , or rather his lack of ideals . I know his type ... if standing in front of the very people he was belittling he would not , could not form an intelligent comment or thought . I left him with (again ) my thoughts as to his criteria for a good or bad Candidate and with me making mention that he might be better served to consider what that Candidate can do once in Office , no matter he viewed them !
