Manchester To Seek Re-Election In Chemung County 2nd District

Chemung County legislator David Manchester, a Republican, announced he is seeking re-election in the Second District, which covers the Town of Big Flats.

Manchester, who grew up in Webb Mills, was elected to the county legislature in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. He is chairman of the legislature's aviation committee, and also serves on the budget and highway committees.

Manchester was previously a member of the Big Flats Town Board for 14 years. 

Manchester works in the aviation department at Corning Inc. He is chairman of the Webb Mills Cemetery Corp., and other community activities include membership on the Elmira/Chemung Transportation Council, the National Soaring Museum board of trustees, and the Big Flats Lions Club.
