Flooding Causes Evacuation In Campbell

Recommended Posts

Rain and warm weather causing rapid melting and ice jams on the Cohocton Ruver has caused the hamlet of Campbell to become flooded. An immediate evacuation is currently underway.

Residents are being asked to leave their homes and take shelter at the Savona Elementary School.

One photo posted to Facebook by the Campbell Fire department showed the severity of the ice jam

Emergency crews are on scene and say the streets are impassable. They ask that people avoid the area.

Wow! A flow like that could do some serious damage, and not just the usual flood kind of damage.
