EMS Squad Volunteer Charged With Grand Larceny, Falsifying Records In Broome County

Recommended Posts

A several month-long investigation has led to the arrest of the Deputy Director of Administration of Union Volunteer Emergency Squad Inc., a non-profit organization.

59 year old Luther M. Taylor of Binghamton was arrested for the felonies of Grand Larceny in the fourth degree and Falsifying Business Records in the first degree on October 3, 2018.
New York State Police at Endwell began the investigation in May when Taylor was accused of stealing American Heart Association cards from the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad then deleting computer records to cover up the crime.  An investigation revealed that Taylor collected cash payments when teaching American Heart Association classes which teach CPR, AED and first aid to individuals and businesses.  The investigation further revealed that he issued Union Volunteer Emergency Squad owned electronic and paper course completion cards but kept the proceeds of the sales then deleted the course records.

Taylor was released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Union Court on October 16, 2018.
