Two Men Arrested As Fugitives From Justice

The Chemung County Sheriff's Department arrested two men who police say were wanted in Pennsylvania. 

37 year-old Christopher S. Coil of  Elmira was arrested as a Fugitive From Justice. Coil, an inmate in the Chemung County Jail on unrelated charges, is wanted by the BradfordCounty Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania.

He was arraigned on the Fugitive From Justice charge and remanded back to the Chemung County Jail awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania. Police say Coil is wanted by Pennsylvania authorities for failing to appear in court for a drug crime of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver.

Deputies also arrested  38 year old Brandon S. Waite, of Elmira. Waite has been charged as a Fugitive from Justice due to an outstanding warrant from Athens Township, Pennsylvania. He is wanted by the Athens Township Police Department on a Bench Warrant for Agricultural Vandalism.

Waite was arraigned in Elmira City Court and is currently remanded to the Chemung County Jail pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
