  1. Adam and myself attended a fruit tree pruning course at Riesingers Orchards this morning . From 8:00 am till noon but a fast 4 hours as we toured all the different sections . We were shown how to read the tree , see how it’s growing and were given insights as to different varieties . Things have really changed in the world of fruit trees since I got my certification in horticulture in H.S. ! Now you can concentrate more trees in a smaller area , in fact they actually grow better when closer together . It was a beautiful day for it but up on the hillside of Seneca Lake it was sunny but cold still . A day well spent learning new things with some good people !
