Come join Rotary and Paws-Ability as we celebrate all things dogs at our first annual Woofstock party, held at Franklin Square Park in beautiful downtown Southport. We will start with a dog parade down Howe Street and then begin the festivities. The band Seneca Guns will entertain us with songs from the Summer of Love. Plenty of shopping from pet store vendors. Food trucks, beer trucks, and a special appearance by Little Green Booth so you can take pictures in a '69 VW Bus.

The South Creek Lions Club will be hosting the AMBA Blood Analysis Program on Saturday, April 7th  from 6-10am.  Call 1-800-234-8888 8:30am-5pm Monday thru Friday. Your personal physician’s authorization is required to have the Blood Test. The Lions Hall is located on Route 14 in Gillett.

Are you interested in growing your own fruit trees? Would you like to see an orchard first-hand? If you answered yes to either of these questions then please join us for this upcoming workshop. The Heppner Family of StoneyRidge Orchard and Winery will be covering the basics of orchard production as well as giving a tour of their farm to see different production methods in practice. Topics to be covered include variety selection, planting, spacing, pruning, pest management, and more.

Time: 9 to 11:30 am

Location: StoneyRidge Orchard and Winery (160 Bixby Rd, Erin, NY 14838)

Cost: $5 per person. Children under 12 years of age are free.

Container gardens help you maximize small spaces and they are easy to care for! Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County to learn how to create a container garden on your patio, terrace, or entryway. You will learn how to plant vegetables in containers successfully, from soil mixes and planting techniques to maintaining tips.

Workshop fee: Free, but a $3 suggested donation helps support our Horticulture Program.

This will be at Eldridge park  from 7 a.m. to noon April 28. It is open to all children up to age 15.
 Participants must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

ENDLESS MOUNTAINS MAPLE FESTIVAL, Alparon Park, Troy.
Both days from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $4 (ages 5 and under admitted free when accompanied by adult). Admission includes on grounds entertainment and Farm Museum. Grandstand shows are Reese Ranch Rodeo on April 28 at 1 p.m. and monster truck show on Sunday at 1 p.m.
